Affordable Cuba for Arts Professionals:  $1,995

At a time when rising costs have made travel to Cuba difficult for many Americans, Global Arts/Media is pleased to offer affordable professional development residences in Havana and Santiago de Cuba for artists and arts professionals.  Visual, performing and literary artists, arts educators, community arts managers, museum and other arts professionals are invited to participate in the Artist2Cuba program to study, research, and explore new directions in their work.
The Artist2Cuba residency is a 6-days, 5-nights program, at the center of which are two, three-hour workshops with a professional Cuban artist or group of artists, (for example, a dance company or printmaking collective.) Through its extensive network of relationships with Cuban artists, Global Arts assists U.S. artists to identify the appropriate creative placement in Cuba to facilitate meaningful work and cultural interchange between U.S. and Cuban artists. The program is open to individuals and small groups of working artists.
In addition to the residency workshops Artists2Cuba includes an itinerary of visits to cultural and historical venues that enable visiting artists to experience and enjoy the beauty and energy of Cuba and the Cuban people.
